"What this means is that your child will be working in a small reading group for 15 minutes at a time several times a week. These small reading groups are students that have similar reading levels/needs. Reading strategies are taught, and support is given to the child in reading the text himself/herself. Guided reading groups will rotate while other students are working on Daily Five." Written by: Mrs. Dyer District158
Your job:
"You will see that a few times throughout the week, your child will be coming home with a guided reading book. This book needs to be returned in the guided reading folder the next day. Please take the time to listen to your child read this book to you, and support him/her when needed. After reading, please complete the reading log located in the G.R. folder."
